TEACHING AT THE CONSERVATORIUM
As a teacher of the Koninklijk Brussels Conservatorium, Agnès Clément wishes to bring a solid musical background to the students, which is necessary for an accomplished professional life. With a detailed work on the quality of sound, she aims to enrich the harp's color range to better serve the musical ideas of everyone. Every artistic personality is unique, but to be able to express one's identity, it is essential to master this wonderful instrument that is the harp; to play with its technical particularities, and to surpass its technical constraints. Then the harp becomes a powerful tool, melodic or polyphonic, percussif or enchanting.
The lessons (Bachelor and Master) are given on a weekly basis, in french or english.

ORCHESTRA ACADEMY
The Orchestra Academy, a joint project by La Monnaie and the Belgian National Orchestra.
In the first stage, the young musicians are selected by audition in their own conservatory. A maximum of 20 students per conservatory then attend auditions at La Monnaie with a jury comprising musicians from La Monnaie and the Belgian National Orchestra.
The students who are selected are then able to become orchestral trainees, each with an individual programme.
In consultation with the artistic management, each youngster will work on an opera production or a symphonic concert conducted by Alain Altinoglu (conductor and Musical Director at La Monnaie), coached on the harp by Agnès Clément, and one symphonic concert by the Belgian National Orchestra coached by Annie Lavoisier.
Workshops, master-classes, coaching sessions and encounters are also organised for them. What is more, these young musicians can also attend all the performances at La Monnaie and all the concerts by the Belgian National Orchestra free of charge.
By attending this Orchestra Academy, the students receive study points recognised by their schools.
